24-25.04.2010 weekend I took part in Memorial “Cika Duska” in Serbia. Though the road was 1500 km (quite long), definitely worth the travel.
Saturday, the middle distance was WRE stage. Although I expected to realize a better time, though I didn’t make big mistakes, was not a satisfactory outcome. Since I was not familiar with the terrain in Serbia, I took an uninspired route to the second control, choosing the route on the valley. Running the valley was very tiring, therefore the rest of the route I have not given efficiency.
But Sunday the lesson was learned, and was reflected in the rankings. I avoided the deep valleys and impassable, preferring the edges and paths.
Overall I am extremely happy with the outcome and I see the training is starting to pay off.
