Compass Cup

I admit I have not read with too much attention the invitation and I overlooked the fact the map was not exactly new, but I can say that I felt that on most of the track. At control 3, I found that vegetation is not quite right, after that I stayed at control 6 a lot: I could not match the distance, the level, no vegetation. While I decided to give up and go on, I stumbled directly on the control. Next controls I took really slow, thinking to spare for the next day.

Cup in Memoriam
Map was new, the route was beautiful, and the only small flaws that I had were in control 12 and control 19. The rest of the route went smoothly.

Cup In Memoriam 19.06.2010 – Cluj Napoca

Today I think I made mistakes for the whole year. :)

I started the route with wrong position for the map. So I thought I must go left, but I should proceed towards the right path from item K. Although here I lost two minutes, this is nothing. At controls that followed I raised … Item 3, Item 4 and item 5 … mistakes . Here I ended the suite, I took the rest of the controls without great difficulty.

I can only say that today I felt like a beginner in the woods and not much liked me:)

The route plan was successful (I mean the marking, but attending it in a wrong by me is just his own fault), and despite the warning code for rain, storm bypassed us.

In conclusion I drew some good teachings and I can only apply them  to future competitions!
